Description
Despite their recent appearance, the presence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), in addition to mediating various everyday activities, now characterises social relations. An increasing percentage of human communication has been digitised; consequently, the family environment has been modified by these technologies. This book contains the research prior to the pilot chapter of a web series, which raises questions about parents’, caregivers’ and children’s experiences with ICTs in the home and spaces derived from family coexistence. In order to do this, issues related to mediatisation, the information society and parental mediation were addressed, as instances in which it is possible to reflect on how children participate in the context raised; and the incidence of these three axes within the family context.
