Event Description

Join us for a special evening with poet Steve Bellin-Oka and special guest Jordan Blum! We’ll be celebrating Bellin-Oka’s  prize-winning Instructions for Seeing a Ghost.

Steve Bellin-Oka‘s first book of poems, Instructions for Seeing a Ghost, won the 2019 Vassar Miller Prize from the University of North Texas Press. He is also the author of four chapbooks, most recently Proviso, a collaboration with the visual artist Kristen Tomecek. Currently a Tulsa Artist Fellow in poetry in translation, Steve has taught poetry writing at Ripon College, Eastern New Mexico University, and the University of Mississippi. Originally from Baltimore, he currently lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jordan Blum is a Philadelphia native and the founder/Editor-in-Chief of The Bookends Review. Outside of that, he is a college professor, a writer for multiple pop culture publications (including LoudwireWhatCultureConsequence, and PROG), and the author of books on progressive rock acts Jethro Tull, Opeth, and Dream Theater.
