An evening at PAT @ Giovanni’s Room with Marc Stein, in conversation with Abby Schrader about his new book, Queer Public History: Essays on Scholarly Activism, and the forthcoming second edition of Rethinking the Gay and Lesbian Movement.

Marc teaches at San Francisco State University and is a leading historian of queer Philadelphia. He is the author of five books, including City of Sisterly and Brotherly Loves: Lesbian and Gay PhiladelphiaSexual Injustice: Supreme Court Decisions from Griswold to Roe and The Stonewall Riots: A Documentary History. Abby, Marc’s long-time Philadelphia housemate, is a historian of Russia, gender, and sexuality at Franklin & Marshall College.
